Fábrica Centro Ciência Viva de Aveiro (FCCV) is an initiative that results from a partnership between the University of Aveiro and Ciência Viva - National Agency for Scientific and Technological Culture.
The main objective of Fábrica Centro Ciência Viva de Aveiro is to promote scientific and technological culture by encouraging experimentation, and its dissemination to the general public. It also aims to foster the creation of a suitable framework for training of youth workers and teachers, school support, cooperation between scientific institutions, enterprises, municipalities and educational institutions and the development and production of content and resources for formal and non-formal education.
Since 2004, FCCV mission is the promotion of science and technology, making use of different forms of communication, examples of which are interactive exhibits, the laboratory spaces, theme rooms, TV studio, the theater of science and the shows that are permanent activities of this Centre. The fact that the University of Aveiro has a central role in the creation and management of this center gives it special characteristics.
